Enjoy a full day guided sightseeing tour of London. Your guide will
take you past Trafalgar Square, Buckingham
Palace and many other famous sights before you are taken
into the Tower of London where the Crown Jewels
are kept, guarded by the world famous Beefeaters. |
Sunday, July 2
In the morning, you will visit the National Gallery,
home to one of the greatest collections of European art in the world.
Your guide will explain the works on display and give you background
information on the artists and the gallery itself.
The afternoon is free for shopping or further sightseeing.

Monday, July 3
Morning visit to Westminster Abbey. Britain’s
history is on proud display in this magnificent cathedral. The House
of God and the House of Kings as Westminster is known, was the venue
for almost every royal coronation since 1066. See its beautiful
interior including Poet’s Corner.
Afternoon visit to Dali Universe. Housed in the
old County Hall by the river you will enter a world of melting clocks
as you discover over 500 works by the great surrealist artist Salvador
Dali at Dali Universe.
Next door to the gallery is London's most popular tourist attraction
– the London Eye. A trip on the Eye will
follow the museum visits giving you the most spectacular view over
London. |
Tuesday, July 4
Morning visit to the Tate Modern which houses contemporary
modern art from artists such as Picasso and Warhol. Then cross the
Millennium Bridge which itself is a major tourist
attraction in London. Closed just hours after it was opened because
it would not stop shaking the designer said there was nothing wrong
with the bridge, the problem was with the way people walked! Try
it yourself as we head to our next stop - it's perfectly safe and
a great spot for taking photos.
Next, visit Sir Christopher Wren’s St Paul’s
Cathedral. Known for its great dome and crypt, this cathedral
has played host to some of the most important events in British
history, including the marriage of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess
of Wales. |
Wednesday, July 5
Day trip to Warwick Castle, possibly England's finest
medieval monument. Most of the Castle dates back to the 14th century
and is almost perfectly preserved. Walk along the battlements and
test your nerve in the haunted Ghost Tower. |
Thursday, July 6
Free day in London for last minute sightseeing and souvenir hunting.

Friday, July 7
Travel under the English Channel on the Eurostar
train to Paris.
A sightseeing tour with our guide will introduce you to the Champs
Élysées, Notre Dame, the
Eiffel Tower and the Latin Quarter.
After dinner, take a boat trip on the Seine and see the splendor
of Paris by night. Paris is the City of Light and nothing beats
seeing all the monuments illuminated as you cruise along the river.

Saturday, July 8
Morning visit to the Louvre, perhaps the most famous
art gallery in the world. Fully explore the majesty of this immense
museum, seeing for yourself such famous works as the Mona Lisa,
the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Venus de Milo with our
guide who will give you the background on the works you're seeing.

Sunday, July 9
Morning visit to the Musée d’Orsay.
Housed in an old train station and consisting primarily of late
19th century French works, the Orsay is an essential visit. The
combination of works by Renoir, Manet, Monet, Van Gogh and Degas
make it easy to trace the influence of one group of artists on another,
all of whom you will learn about during your visit.
Afternoon free for shopping and sightseeing.
After dinner you will climb the Eiffel Tower for
a spectacular night time view over Paris. |
Monday, July 10
Morning visit to Versailles: Perhaps the most illustrative
example of King Louis XIV’s extravagance, the palace and gardens
of Versailles are living tributes to the work of hundreds of years
of artistic and landscaping masters. Explore the chateau itself,
including the wondrous Hall of Mirrors and spend free time in the
majestic gardens.
In the evening, you will board the overnight train to Venice. |
Tuesday, July 11
Six sestieri, one hundred and eighteen islands, four hundred bridges
and over fifteen hundred years of history make Venice a unique city.
Hop on a vaporetto, Venice’s public transport system and travel
to St Marks Square. See St Mark’s Basilica
and the Byzantine architecture of the Doge’s Palace
where the prisoners crossed the Bridge of Sighs. |
Wednesday, July 12
Morning visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. The
Peggy Guggenheim Collection is the most important museum in Italy
for European and American art of the first half of the 20th century.
It is located in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, Palazzo Venier
dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice.

Thursday, July 13
Today you will travel by bus to Florence,
stopping off in Ravenna to see the collection of
beautiful mosaics. |
Friday, July 14
Morning walking tour of Florence; a brief walk with our guide will
show you all the main sights of the Renaissance capital, the Duomo,
Santa Croce church, the Ponte Vecchio
and many other amazing sights.
Afternoon visit to the Accademia with our guide
to see the big attraction in Florence, Michelangelo’s David.

Saturday, July 15
Morning visit to the Uffizi. Originally the offices
for the Medici family they then installed their art collection here
making it one of the greatest Renaissance galleries in the world.
Home to many great works including Botticelli’s Birth of Venus
and Primavera.

Free day in Florence. |
Monday, July 17
Transfer to Rome via Siena
home of the Palio horse race and the oldest banks in Europe. The
narrow cobbled streets of Siena are lined with Renaissance mansions.
Learn about the town with our guide then relax in the Il
Campo, the main square.
After dinner, take a stroll into town for gelato. |
Tuesday, July 18
Explore Ancient Rome. Our guide will take you on a walking tour of
Ancient Rome. See the Colosseum, site of many bloody
battles and home to the gladiators then visit the Roman Forum,
the political and social heart of the ancient city. |
Wednesday, July 19
Morning visit to the Vatican. No trip to Rome would
be complete without a visit to the Vatican Museums
and the Sistine Chapel. Marvel at the trompe l’oeil
paintings on the ceilings of the museums and the stunning ceiling
in the Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo. Our guide will tell
the stories behind what you see and explain more about this amazing
city state.
